He – the insurance mafia CEO – had it coming, some might say. This doesn’t mean Luigi didn’t commit murder. John Gotti did that when he took out “Big Paul” Castellano outside of Sparks Steak House in New York. Gotti was a thug, certainly – but so was Castellano. Regardless, the fact remains that the health insurance mafia is exactly like the car insurance mafia in that both leveraged the government to force people to fork it over. That is strong-arm robbery by any reasonable understanding and almost everyone understands that everyone has a natural right to defend themselves when confronted by a strong-armed robber. The health insurance mafia emulates these same tactics. It extorts and it extracts and when it is asked to pay, it denies. This made Luigi angry – as it has made most of us angry. Is there anyone who thinks the health insurance mafia isn’t one? That likes these mafiosi? We have all heard about people bankrupted and hounded by these mafiosi for every last cent they can extract.
