THE BIG PICTURE

Will the “Fat Lady” Finally Sing? – “Remember Covid-19? Seems like long ago in a world that time forgot. Well, you get to revisit the whole sketchy business on Wednesday, July, 29, when Dr. Anthony Fauci is called to testify about it to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee chaired by Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY). Though half the USA is still psychotic and unable to process reality, the other half of the country understands that Dr. Fauci has some ‘splainin’ to do. Dr. Fauci was initially invited but declined to appear (didn’t feel like it), so the committee issued a subpoena compelling him (under penalty of up to a year in jail for failure to show). Because Dr. Fauci was given a peremptory pardon by “Joe Biden,” he cannot legally invoke the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination. He will have to answer the questions.” – James Howard Kunstler

They Don’t Want You To Read… (VIDEO) – “We have reached the end of the Age of Reading and started our descent down the slippery slope of digital distraction toward a post-literate future. But what does this mean? What is the true value of reading? How was the Library of Alexandria lost, anyway?” – The Corbett Report

We Are Under Attack ( with VIDEO link) – “And Most People Don’t Even Know It. There is an attack on the West happening right now. Most Canadians don’t understand the bigger picture. You don’t need a deep dive to know something is wrong. You have two eyes on your face and two ears on the side of your head. You can watch society crumble in real time. You know crime is getting worse. You know addiction and homelessness are getting worse. You know division is worse than it’s ever been. So you have a party preaching love, inclusion and diversity while everything gets worse under their watch. Maybe it’s time we stop judging things by intentions and start judging them by outcomes.” – Karla Treadway

How Total Surveillance Conquered the Last Sanctuary of Human Privacy – “Your bedroom has been listening for years. Not metaphorically—quite literally. While you slept, while you loved, while you whispered secrets to partners in the dark, the devices you invited inside for “convenience” were recording, analyzing, transmitting. That smart speaker on your nightstand heard you breathe. Your WiFi router mapped your movements through walls. The phone charging beside your pillow tracked your REM cycles, your midnight tossing, your 3 AM anxieties. All of it flowed through fiber optic veins into climate-controlled bunkers where analysts sift through domestic lives like archaeologists studying extinct species—except you’re very much alive, still walking, still paying monthly subscriptions for the privilege of being monitored. This is the unvarnished reality of existence in 2026: privacy didn’t merely erode—it was systematically dismantled, commodified, and fed into machine learning systems that predict your behavior before you conceive the thought. ” – Milan Adams

Police Are Deploying 60 MPH Autonomous Drones to Read Your License Plate from the Sky – “If you thought Flock Safety’s Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) were deeply invasive when they were just mounted to neighborhood stop signs and hidden inside speed trailers, you might want to look up.” – Rahaan Mazumder

“Don’t Flock Me”: Massie Readies Bill To Yank Federal Cash From Cities And Police Departments Running Flock Cameras – “On Saturday, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced he’ll soon sponsor “a bill to withhold federal money from municipalities and police departments” that deploy Flock-style cameras to surveil law-abiding citizens. He attached a Gadsden flag parody: a coiled rattlesnake wrapped around an automated license plate reader on a pole, over the words “don’t flock me.”” – Tyler Durden  – ONE OF THE FEW REPS WHO ACTUALLY LOOKS OUT AFTER THE PEOPLE AND TRUMP WANTED HIM OUT, SO THE MAGA CLOWNS DRINKING TRUMP’S KOOL-AID OBLIGED. Priorities – “Over the weekend, Shiloh Hendrix, the woman who went viral for the use of a racial slur in a video, reportedly after using the same slur on an autistic black child who took something from her kid. The sentence was 90 days in jail, 200 hours of community service, and a $1,000 fine. There are issues with this, to say the least, because it still boiled down to someone using their right to free speech in an unkind way, but that’s the least of it for me. No, the bigger problem is the judge who handed down this sentence. While taking a hard line on Hendrix’s speech, the judge who ordered the sentencing in the Hendrix case, Christa Daily, has a track record of granting outrageous plea deals, letting convicted sex offenders off with light punishments and little to no jail time. How can Daily look at these cases and think, “You know, the guy who raped the 15-year-old and the woman who raped a couple of her patients, they’re stand-up people who don’t need to go to prison, but this n-word using woman…oh, oh, man! That’s just a bridge too far!” Does that make any sense at all?” – Tom Knighton

They Aren’t Even Trying to Hide It Anymore – “The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) aren’t even trying to hide it anymore. They want to expand the size and scope of government to the point that it would look more like the Soviet Union than the United States of America.” – Jeff Charles

‘Bernie Bros’ vs the World – What Are Democrats Doing? – “Does the socialist uprising stand a chance?” – James Fite

It’s Going to Be JD and Kamala, So Calm Down – “Every weirdo, loser, and mutation in their party intends to try to get the nod, knowing that the fix is already in; it’s just going to be a chance for folks like Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and Pete Buttigieg to try to raise their profiles or maybe get picked to be VP. Neither of those two will. But right now, it’s obvious who is going to go head-to-head against each other in the general election. You can deny it, you can argue it, you can cope all you want, but barring some unforeseen turn of events, we know how this is going to play out.” – Kurt Schlichter

More Than 600 Casualties in the Iran War – “Ministry of Truth Strikes Again. An article at the New York Times today cites the creative accounting of the Trump administration on U.S. casualties in the Iran War. That count now exceeds 600 wounded, with eighteen service members killed. And for what, exactly?” – Bill Astore

Europe’s fantasy about war with Russia – ” Russia won’t attack unless provoked. The real danger? European politicians entangling their people in a nuclear-risky proxy war they never asked for.” – Sonja van den Ende

War on Iran: – Another Hold Of Direct Action While The War Proceeds Elsewhere – “U.S. sources claim that the stop was initiated because the military was running out of air defense missiles. That may well have been the case. But the larger reason is that the U.S. strikes on Iran have not been effective. They did not induce Iran to change its position on its effective control of the Strait of Hormuz. The Strait is blocked, oil can not flow, and higher prices at the pump will diminish votes for Trump’s party in the upcoming elections. The U.S. military has only stopped for a moment – it has not ended its war on Iran. There are still more than 100 U.S. tanker airplanes in the Middle East together with additional fighter jets and special operations units. The U.S. could any time be back at full escalation.” – Moon of Alabama

Zelensky attacked Caspian Sea cargo ship at Israel’s behest – Iran – “Tehran accused the Ukrainian leader of seeking to drag Europe into a war with Russia ” – RT

The “Southern Front” Of The Ukrainian Conflict Is Heating Up – “The heightened stakes associated with this latest phase of the conflict suggest that an even greater escalation might be inevitable, but it’s still possible that this could be delayed, if not outright averted.” – Andrew Korybko

THE DEEPER DIVE: Even after the Fed’s New Rigging, Inflation is Going to Get Hotter and Hotter for Months to Come – “The Fed’s new boss has found a new way to cook the books to make prices LOOK a little nicer for you, but take a deeper look at the real forces from another endless war that are going to cook prices.” – David Haggith   – LINKED ABOUT THIS ON FRIDAY AS WELL

Why Gold Fell During a War…and Why That Drop May Already Be Done – “Gold hit an all-time high above $5,500 back in January. Since that time, it’s given back roughly a quarter of its value, dropping into the low $4,000s. What’s striking about this is that this drop occurred despite: Geopolitical uncertainty. Demand remaining strong. Regarding #1, gold historically has performed exceptionally well during periods of geopolitical stress. ” – Graham Summers, MBA

Long-Term Treasury Yields Jump as Bloodied Bond Market Gets Edgier about Inflation & the Massive New Debt – “During the last debt scare, the 10-year yield hit 5%, and the floodgates of demand opened. Now the debt is $6 trillion bigger; no guarantee 5% will open the floodgates again.” – Wolf Richter

Inflation and Financial Repression: How They Hide Deficits and Fund Forever Wars – “Once is happenstance, twice is a coincidence, thrice a pattern. You almost have to admire the consistency. The Pattern is so blatant it’s basically policy now: price oil outside the dollar, get a visit from freedom. Libya and Gaddafi flirt with a gold-backed dinar in 2011—reduced to rubble. Iraq and Saddam talk euro for oil in the early 2000s—shock and awe, 2003. Russia settles oil in yuan—Ukraine war in 2014/2022. Venezuela moves toward yuan—Maduro sanctioned into oblivion since 2017, then kidnapped. And now Iran is on deck.” – The Silver Academy

Are You Prepared for Inflation? Are You Prepared for Deflation? – “And how about both? Letter 1 of 3 on this topic. We’ll start with getting terms straight, because Washington and the financial press have spent decades blurring them on purpose or out of ignorance or both. ” – John Hunt, MD .

Recession Watch: Private Credit Bubble Threatens the Mega Banks – “One of the selling points of “real” banks like JPMorgan Chase or Bank of America is that they’re immune to the debauchery of the private credit “shadow banking system.” But it turns out that mainstream banks have also been feasting on those fat private credit fees and high loan rates. And now they’re reaping that particular whirlwind.” – John Rubino

Your Late Summer Garden Isn’t Finished… It’s Just Hungry – “It’s true: by July, your garden has been working overtime. Tomato vines are stretching past their cages. Squash plants are spreading across the path. Beans are climbing, cucumbers are flowering, and every growing fruit is pulling another helping of nutrition from the soil. At first glance, everything may still look green and productive. But beneath the surface, your garden could be running on fumes.” – Bill Heid

The Bow Drill Deception: Why It Fails for 90% of Beginners and What Actually Determines Success – “Every bushcraft forum has the same thread buried somewhere in its archives. Someone spent three hours bowing furiously against a piece of scrap pine, arms shaking and palms blistered, and never produced so much as a wisp of real smoke. In truth, the outcome of a bow drill attempt is largely decided before the bow ever touches the string, in the choice of species, the moisture sitting inside the fibers, and a handful of physical variables that most instructional content glosses over in favor of showing someone look strong and capable on camera.” – Bob Rodgers
