“Officer Safety” – “We hear that term – officer safety – a lot. It’s interesting because the last thing most of us feel when we seen an “officer” in our rearview mirrors is “safe.” Why is that? Well, it’s basically for the same reason that a chicken doesn’t feel safe when it notices a hawk perched on a branch above the coop. It’s a predator vs. prey situation. And that is exactly the situation.When you see an “officer” hiding in a cutout by the side of the road you know he is not looking for criminals. He is awaiting his prey. People who “speed” and who do not have the required (and up to date) ear tags displayed.
